Please join us for the 2nd Annual Run and Play for Ariana Mae, August 25th, 2012 at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge, MI. The entire family will enjoy a 5K Run or 1 Mile Walk, Children's Candy Land Scavenger Hunt, games, raffles, live music, food and more!  Registration begins at 7:30 am.  Run starts at 9:00 am.  The 1 Mile Walk begins at 9:05.  A Children's Scavenger Hunt will begin at 10 am.  Registration is NOT required for participation in the after race festivities.  Everyone is welcome!  Last year, Run and Play for Ariana Mae raised over $16,000 for the SUDC Program!

We are hosting this event in honor of our daughter, Ariana Mae Lusis. Ariana was a happy, healthy, and vibrant 21 month old girl who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly during a nap on November 30, 2010.  We were given little explanation as to what took our daughter's life. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) program, a cousin of SIDS that affects children after their first birthday.  

The SUDC Program is part of the CJ Foundation for SIDS, a national non-profit organization leading the fight against SIDS and SUDC.

We are excited to announce that funds raised from this year's event will also go towards the purchase of a new toddler play structure at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge, MI!  

A Community Build date for the playground has been set for Friday, September 21 and Saturday, September 22.  Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering for the event or community build.  We hope to see you there!
