We're going Under the Sea for the 3rd Annual Run and Play for Ariana Mae, August 17th, 2013 at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge, MI. The entire family will enjoy a 5K Run or 1 Mile Walk, a crazy, messy obstacle course for kids, games, raffles, live entertainment, food and more!  Registration begins at 7:30 am.  Run starts at 9:00 am.  The 1 Mile Walk begins at 9:05. Registration is NOT required for participation in the after race festivities.  Everyone is welcome! Over the past 2 years, Run and Play for Ariana Mae has raised over $16,000 for the SUDC Program and built a new toddler play structure at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge!

We are hosting this event in honor of our daughter, Ariana Mae Lusis. Ariana was a happy, healthy, and vibrant 21 month old girl who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly during a nap on November 30, 2010.  We were given little explanation as to what took our daughter's life. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) program, a cousin of SIDS that affects children after their first birthday.  

The SUDC Program is part of the CJ Foundation for SIDS, a national non-profit organization leading the fight against SIDS and SUDC.
